EBI Electric is a third-generation family business based in Saint-Georges, Québec, Canada, that has been in business since 1946. It is located just a few kilometres from the US-Maine border.
Since 1995, EBI has been designing and manufacturing motors, mainly for drying chambers, to withstand the extreme environmental conditions of drying. These high temperature chamber motors are manufactured specifically for lumber drying.
Over the years, we have tested various motor types and manufacturers in Mühlböck drying kilns. Since 2016, EBI motors have been used with great satisfaction for our projects in North America. Based on the results of the motor tests and the reliability of EBI drying chamber motors, we have decided to use them as standard in our drying plants from now on.
With EBI dry chamber motors, you no longer need to worry about the condition of your motors.
More than 20,000 EBI motors are used in over 400 sawmills in Canada, the USA and around the world.
The use of epoxy primer and phase-to-phase insulation are just two reasons why EBI motors are so durable in the extreme conditions of a dry kiln. These can be used in hardwood and softwood chambers.
For EBI motors we can give a warranty of up to 3 years, depending on the temperature:
